73 QUESTIONS WITH... [VOGUE]

Vogue/Conde Nast asked me to come up with something to do with Sarah Jessica Parker. I wanted to reinvent the idea of an interview, and this happened. I directed and interviewed her from a bunch of questions, and went viral, and people loved how authentic and fascinating it was. With Olivia, it became an official series.

THE OFFICE TIME MACHINE/THE OFFICE STARE MACHINE [for fun + copyright reform advocacy]

I spent 1.5 years - by myself - finding over 1,300 references to anything in real-life culture and put it in an interactive time machine that lets you explore 5,500 years of history. The mother of all supercuts. During this time, I also found 706 times characters silently stare at the camera, and indexed them into a human-emotion stare machine. I did this with good friend Aaron Rasmussen, who built the machines.

CDZA [YOUTUBE MUSIC CHANNEL]

CDZA was founded in 2012 with the mission of connecting conservatory-trained musicians to online video audiences. My team is made up of Michael Thurber and Matt McCorkle. The response has been incredible, and the mission is set in stone. We want to show that playing instruments is still relevant and fun, and there's no better proponent of that vision than using highly skilled, virtuosic musicians who love music.

STORY OF SUSHI [BAMBOO SUSHI]

I came up with The Story of Sushi after my friend Kristofor asked how to promote his sustainable sushi restaurant, Bamboo Sushi. The Story of Sushi ended up being a 7 month project involving 4 months of miniature making by Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber. Vincent Peone came in with the camera crew to shoot the video, with sound design by Matt McCorkle and original score by Michael Thurber. I wrote the script and put everything together. It was a Vimeo Staff Pick and will be put into film festivals

AFRICAN MEN, HOLLYWOOD STEREOTYPES [MAMA HOPE]

Essentially the "sequel" to Alex Presents: Commando, I put together this video for Mama Hope as a way to tell the world African men aren't exactly like how they are depicted in hollywood: as violence loving warlords, or desperate victims.
